CONCEPT
The independent Struggle is not yet over. Its just that the side with whom the (true) Indians were fighting has changed. It was the British till 1947 and now its the corrupted Politicians. Ignite the Bhagat Singh, Azad in you to fight the battle and restore peace and justice.
CINEMA
Sue, the grand-daughter of a British policeman who served in India at the time of British Rule, comes to India to make a film on the incidents and characters portrayed by her grand father in his diary. She finds DJ, Sonia, Aslam, Karan, Aslam, Laxman and Sukhi apt for the roles in the film. Except Laxman, others strongly believe that there is no such thing called "sacrificing for the Country". They all believe in living their own life. They all accept to act in the film, though reluctantly. Half way through the film, they get ignited by the characters. All of a sudden the team find themselves completely exposed and fighting the Government Machinery. For the rest - Watch RANG DE BASANTI.
CRITIC - CORNER
Kudos to the Crew for not making any compromise whatsoever and presented the most difficult concept in an easy palatable manner.
Strong story backed by the powerful characters taken by able artists, duly supported by the powerful lines of Prasoon Joshi, AR Rehman and Binod Pradhan has helped us see wonders on the silver screen.
The idea of Traversing between the past and the present will be a new attempt and greatly appreciated. Binod Pradhan’s photography simply takes us to the actual past. Wow, the camera simply traverses between the present and the past leaving us agape. Pick of the season "PAATSHAALA" was in a way wasted disappointing many of us. But from the script's point of view, the treatments of the songs were perfect. Aamir never ceases to impress. So is Atul Kulkarni. Every one of them has done their job perfectly. You can’t help getting emotional in many scenes. In the end RDB is a good movie carrying powerful message.
