Tamil Manne Vanakkam

Read an article in the Popular Tamil weekly, "Ananda Vikatan" - 17th May'06 edition (not sure of the exact date of the edition).

It carries an article titled, "Tamil Manne Vanakkam". Its about how a visionary can bring in the much needed transparency into public administration and be a catalyst in breaking the conventional corrupted practices.
The visionary is none other than Mr.Panchavarnam, Chairman, Panruti Municipality Corporation. F/O Sudhakar - My UG classmate and PG Senior.

An impressive article detailing the Hi-Tech revolution spear headed by him from an unassuming town in Tamilnadu. No doubt his administration has emerged as a working model for many others to follow. Hope this atleast becomes an eyeopener to people, who claim themselves to be public servants (without knowing the real meaning of public and service).

I was enthralled to see my Home Ground (Anna University) in its typical serene atmosphere with the grand Red Building beatifully lit.Though i missed the major part of the discussion, a few moments that i enjoyed.

Rajdeep: Is the Delhi - Tamilnadu distance a Boon or a Bane?
Cho Ramaswamy: Well it is a 'Blessing in Disguise'. We manage to uproot upto 60 politicians from the state by electing them to the Parliament to restore happiness in the state.

Rajdeep: Who is the One Tamilian you are proud of?? We will have the answers after the Break.
